Diversity is the Key

This slogan doesn't just apply to your investment portfolio, it should also apply to the people that are in your personal and professional network.  Be bold enough to connect with people that don't look like you or in the same industry that you are in.  Most people feel that if they always stay in their "immediate professional circle" they will gain the best perception of what the real world looks like.  Unfortunately, those people are sadly mistaken.  Long gone are the days where business is done with professionals that look like each other.
