National Business Information Clearinghouse

Today I had the opportunity to attend the morning session of the City of Chicago Tech Expo at UIC. From what I've learned, this expo has been going on annually for quite a while and it's extremely lucrative for small business owners who will need technology to advance their current entrepreneurial position.

The session with the most value came from a workshop entitled, "Accessing Online Mentoring and Networking".  The main focus of this workshop was to talk about an organization called the National Business Information Clearinghouse.  This organization is a one stop shop for African American and Hispanic entrepreneurs.  The website www.blackbic.org or www.hispanicbic.org gives a wealth of information ranging from writing your business plan to developing an effective elevator speech.

I would recommend this website and organization to anyone that's interested in starting a business.
